2017: I gathered my feelings into a manifesto and the impulse became Light News, a monthly newsletter on Tinyletter.

2020: Light News moved to Substack and became Restful because I lacked rest as much as I wanted it.

2023: I began soliciting contributions.

2024: I got a grant from the Goethe-Institut Nigeria to make a print magazine which became a book in 2025.  

In making that book, I fell in love with publishing as a practice and medium for artistic expression. I decided that I would like to hone the skills involved in making books and other printed matter, from commissioning to bookbinding and distribution. And that's what this space is for now. It scratches the sweet spot in my head where entrepreneurship, tactile art, and salad making meet.

I hope to eventually work with other artists and researchers thinking about rest, home, healing and everyday life on their editorial and print projects.
